When Pat Pickles nipped out for fags her Husband Bobby, four kids and father in law didn’t think she’d be long. that was a month ago. Rather than trying to become father of the year overnight Bobby enlists the help of next door neighbour Bernie, a faded drag queen, to look after the kids whilst he and granddad follow United round Europe. But things never run smoothly in the Pickle household and when a family tragedy threatens to destroy them its left to Bobby to become the man no one thought he was.
She’s Just Nipped Out For Fags was performed at The Library Theatre, Manchester in August 2007.
